I wear my smile upside down. I dream of those fifteen minutes of fame Andy Warhol promised us. I dream of sequins, bright with colour, waiting quietly for the metamorphosis. I face the world with a Smile as irresistible, and as unsettling, as Coca-Cola's secret formula. I'm made of cotton candy, but I've forgotten what sweetness tastes like.
Sweet at first. Then a little uncomfortable.
Kandy Smile is my visual diary, a world where everything looks sweet, until you look a little closer.
My colours have always been inspired by the bright, artificial tones of gummy candy pink, blue, yellow, red, green, orange.
The name Kandy Smile comes from cotton candy: light, colourful, fragile. Something you choose because it looks beautiful, only to discover that its sweetness can disappear almost instantly, leaving behind something more bitter.
Fantasies that turn into obsessions.

My shower
I created these images to live right there, on the walls of a bathroom: surrounded by the steam of a hot shower, the scent of toothpaste on the sink, the amber-scented foam, inside that small moment of freedom we allow ourselves when no one is watching ★
I’ve written my story many times, but it has always stayed inside my home, inside my shower. It is there that a man truly undresses—not only his clothes, but everything he uses to protect himself from others. In the shower, I see freedom. The possibility of being inside yourself without having to fight. I believe eroticism has, above all, something to do with freedom. And sometimes, freedom takes the simple shape of a body under the shower.
